This piece came through unexpectedly, as I wasn’t sure what I wanted to create at first. But then this powerful goddess seeped through the pastels, and I just let her take over. She’s fierce, wise, and mysterious – her gaze holds your attention, with serpents curling around her like protectors. There’s this pulsating energy at her forehead, like she’s connected to something ancient and full of knowledge.
I used soft pastels to bring her to life, playing with rich, deep colours of emerald, purple, and black. The background pops with a burst of crimson, giving her a dramatic edge. There’s a mix of softness and intensity in this drawing that I feel captures both her power and grace.
